Teriyaki Beef - Mossman Style

2 lb. flank steak - cut on the diagonal in 1/4" strips
2/3 C sugar
3/4 C soy sauce
1/4 C water
grated ginger 1" long
1 clove of garlic, pressed
2 Tbsp vegetable oil

Mix all ingredients and marinate for 3-5 hours. Grill on the BBQ and it just melts in your mouth!
